Can anyone tell me a cheap and easy way to take quality pics of jewellery at home. I have a cheap digital camera and not much else. I am on a pension so budget is almost zero. I get blurred and fuzzy pics which are not good for ebay. Does anyone have some good suggestions. Thank you.

Get a good tripod (not expensive) that will give your camera a steady mount. See if you can get a remote trigger or shutter release cable. This will help prevent camera movement. Find your minimum focus distance for your lens.

Get a cardboard box and paint the insides a matte white. Open areas to let the light in and set the stage for your shooting area. You can use colored material to set up the background. Using a cloth sheet or towel will help soften the light or the flash is you are using on. The soft light will help reduce the glare of the jewelry (helps with the sparkle).

Take some test shots to find out what background material will make your subject stand out.

Alright, so my girlfriend and I are going to start a jewelry business, along with some other stuff we're doing. In modern days, people tend to buy different types of jewelry so I figure we should have a variety of styles to sell…as best quality as we can for a great price. So tell me, what kind of jewelry do you all usually buy? How often do you buy jewelry? May it be pins, earrings, necklaces, bracelets…bead style, jewel style, etc etc. Thanks in advance!

I like jewelry that has colorful stones. I also like antique looking jewelry.

I'm not religious or anything, but I don't understand why they rap about virtually every sin known to man and then claim to thank god at award shows or how they wear expensive jewelry with the cross on it.

And yes I am very well aware that other entertainers such as porn stars also tend to commit their fair share of sins, but I'm focusing on rappers in particular because they usually tend to claim to love god yet rap about virtually every sin you can think of.

Im not sure but I also hate it when they rap about God in their songs and proceed to add like 20 cuss words.

Woman have a huge want for jewelry especially as a gift from their boyfriend/husband. I been trying to tell explain this to a guy friend of mine. He wants to know why girls have a desire for jewelry and the significance of it as a gift. I am having a hard time explaining that to him. Can you help me.

I think growing up; most women or individuals that consider themselves to be feminine have always been attracted to things that they find beautiful and shiny. For every woman that is different. For some it's fine jewelry and for others it is vintage or pop culture items.

When we are little girls we want those things on overload like big plastic jewelry or crazy taffeta Barbie clothes. But, when we get older; I think we want that same feeling or that same lift that we get from loving something we find beautiful and shiny. Jewelry delivers that joy in a small, elegant package. It also expresses every woman's individual style.

I'm about to get my second hole pierced but I wanted to know what kind of earrings I should wear? I have these earrings from walmart my friend gave me.. But is it a bad idea to use them?

YES! It's a horrible idea
When you are getting your ears pierced, it is recomended that you go to a Tattoo parlor because they sanitize their earings and equipment. The piercers there at have to be certified, but at places like Claire's, all they do there is watch a 5 minute movie and they take their equipment out of wrappings (not the best idea)

You are supposed to wait about 6 months until you're actually supposed to change earings.

And for those Walmart earings, you never know who's touched them and how sanatized their hands are

So if I were you, I wouldn't use them
