How do you put in captive bead earrings?
Okay, I just got my ears pierced with captive bead earrings. One bead fell out and I can't seem to get it back in without it being loose and falling out again. How do I put it back in without it falling out?
Get your self a pair of pliers and GENTly press the ring together a little. test with the ring in your hand and pop the ball into place. You should be able to see an ever so tiny divit / indentation in the ball put that in first, and pop.

Captive bead rings are held together by tension and it is really hard to get the bead back in yourself. They make special pliars for opening and closing them which you can buy here http://www.bodyartforms.com/. There are also instructions on opening and closing them here http://www.bodyartforms.com/help_captives.asp.
If you just got your ears pierced though, your best bet is to get to your piercer as soon as you are able to, they will be able to help you with the bead. For the meantime, you can put something like a piece of eraser in the space so the ring will stay in your ear.
