Is selling bracelets and handmade jewelry on the boardwalk illegal in New Jersey? How do you know?

IS IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You’ll need permission. One firm charges $75 PER LOCATION just to tell you WHICH licenses and permissions you will need to apply for and fill out. They don’t do the paperwork, they charge this much just for the information on which forms you have to fill out.

A peddler’s license is $430 per year in one city, and requires
" 1. Three passport size [2x2] photographs of the applicant.
2. Copy of valid driver’s license, or other proof of identification.
3. Copy of applicant’s social security card.
4. Fingerprints
5. State Sales Tax Certificate of Authority
6. Three photographs of the vending unit – side, front and rear view.
7. A Satisfactory Health Certificate (If you are selling food products) "

I know this because I can use an internet search engine.

Selling anything in public usually isn’t legal unless you have a vendor’s license issued by the city, state, or county you’re in. I’m assuming that New Jersey isn’t any different.

the last guy was right. you may need to apply or a permit. they generally don’t cost much more than say $20 or so… dunno how to get one though. shouldn’t be hard, people do it all the time
