What type of material do you use for friendship bracelets?

My friend and I are selling friendship bracelets and we don’t know what to use for the string and where to get it. PLEASE HELP!

OMG! recently i got obsessed with friendship bracelet, it’s called embroidery floss. ah i wish i knew you so i could teach you all the patterns i know!!!! but is hard unless in person but this should help:

    It’s called embroidery floss. You can get it at any art/craft store. You can usually buy big multipacks of the stuff for $10-$15.

    I always used to use the string from walmart :) they come in many colors and you can add beads or whatever. Another suggestion may be hemp? you can even make necklaces too!

    iv made a hundred of these braclets!! but you can use..
    gimp (its plastic like, comes in many difrent colors)
    hemp(light brown and looks like wood)
    embroidery floss ( thin, you can have it in many diffrent colors)
