Can u change earrings straight after you got them pierced?

I wanna get my ears pierced soon and I want to know if it is (safe) ok to change the earrings (the ones the piercer uses to pierce my ears) straight away and leave the new ones in for the 4-6 weeks?

One of my friends did that and he didn't experience any problems with it.

I just wanna be sure.

Thanks in advance!

It'll be okay if you change them really quick, but MAKE SURE that the new earrings are silver or gold, b/c you could get an infection otherwise. They should also be studs, not hoops or any others. Once you have had earrings for a little while, you can try others and see how your ears react. I know I can not wear nickel ones and i have had my ears pierced since I was 5- i am 16 now. Why don't you just pick out a pair that you really like when you go-if you go to a good piercer they have a good selection of earrings that they actually use to pierce the ears. Your ears will also be sensitive after getting pierced so it may hurt to try and change them.

It's not safe at all, i don't think you should remove them after you've had your ear pierced 6-8 weeks later. Sure do what ever the hell you want with it, but i bet after you've had your ear pierced you won't wanna take those suckers out they'll sting for awhile. And your friend and you are built up from totally different genetics, but then again you should do what you want and learn from the experiance. I personally wouldn't want to change my piercings i got today. I hoped this helped.

I'd advise against it – taking out those earrings & putting in new ones increases the risk of infection. If you're determined to change them, though, make sure the new ones you're putting in have been cleaned with alcohol, and that your hands have been thoroughly sanitized first. And be aware that you may bleed.

Personally, the earliest I've ever taken out piercing earrings was about 3 weeks after, just quickly to change the earrings like you want to do. But everyone heals differently & has differing abilities when it comes to fighting off infection, so…

I honestly don't think that that would be safe, I'm sure that could harm your ears in some way. But if u want 2 no 4 sure ask the person who is going to pierce your ears first b 4 you get them done.

i got my ears peirced when i was 9. You HAVE to keep in the earrings the peircer put in. at least for 4 weeks. and make sure you keep on putting alchohol, or any lquid solution they give you to pour onto your earings while its in your ear. if you change your earrings right away, then that will increase your chances of getting any infection[which really sucks!], or for the piercing in your ear to close up. and also, it sometimes helps to sometimes twirl the earings aorund in your ear.

    good luckkk

i guess you could but it would be really painful and feel like your repeicing it. but make sure it is not too big and dont change them everyday. if you can, ask the person who is piercing your ear pierce it with the earing you want.

NO your supposed to wait alteast 6 months and clean them regularly. Or else they might get infected which would be very bad.

No, you have to wait to change them. Just because someone else does it without any problems, doesn't mean you should.

I buy poke your ears(pierced) ear rings that I like but my ears are not pierced. I buy clip on backs, break off the points and hot glue the clip ones.
Another idea I do is get the curved backs and curve them onto an existing clip ons that maatch such as silver on a dangling silver 2tc; Hope this helps. I have over a hundred.Nina

    No.
And it hurts like hell, I tried it.
The earrings they typically use when they pierce you are designed to limit an increased chance of infection. Just wait the month/month and a half.
Infections are such a pain; don't risk one just to change your earring.
