How can you convert clip on earring into real earrings?

I bought a jewellary set off ebay for my wedding and i found out the earrings were clip on. They are beautiful and i really want to wear them its just because they are clip on theres a big extra bit hanging off the back and it looks really out of place. Please help!

I converted a couple of old pairs of earrings from clip to post, but they weren't valuable jewellry. I removed the clip (in one case I had to break it off) and glued the post to the back. They work fine but it would be a shame to do this to a real nice pair; it might reduce their value. If you simply can't be seen in clips and the jewellry is worth it, take it to a jeweler and ask if they can make the conversion for you.

I really don't think you can.
If you take them in to a jewelry store they might be able to though.

hmm, near me there are two make your own jewelry places and they sell things called "ear wires" and you could just remove the clips from your earrings and replace them with those. you could probably just take it in to a store like that and they'd do it for you.

if you dont have a store like this you can do it yourself and you could probably find the ear wires at any craft store.

good luck and congrats on the marraige!
