How do I get 16 gauge earrings in my ears that are like 22 gauge?
For some reason my mom got my ears pierced when I was little, but I didn’t like wearing earrings. Now I want to put circular barbell earrings in, but I want 16 gauge and they won’t fit. What do I do?
Tapers and stretching slowly by using bigger sized jewelry are options. Shoving a 16g ring through a 22g piercing isn’t going to work in most cases. You can buy a small taper and stretch that way. Or you can buy an 18g ring, lube it up, stick it through and wait 2 weeks to put in the 16g. Your call.

Well you could get stretchers. But I went from a 22 gauge to a 14 gauge just by forcing the jewellery in. It is pretty painful though.
