When I was in Kindergarten I got mine pierced, and actually took them out before that month was up. When I thought they weren't pierced in the the 6th grade I was surprised to find they never actually closed. As long as there is SOME kind of earring in the hole, I think it will be ok. Just don't leave it open for any longer than to switch earrings. Also, since they're healing, be sure to put the alcohol or solution given to you everyday to prevent any infection.
