What causes me to be allergic to expensive and cheap earrings?

I have always known I’m slightly allergic to cheap earrings but my boyfriend just bought me $500 earrings and my ears are getting sore and swollen. The earrings are sterling silver from Tiffany & Co. Any ideas on why?

You could be allergic to sterling silver, so price would not matter. You might want to try other metals, such as gold, stainless steel, or titanium.

    the impurities in the metal. try titanium.
