What type on earrings are use with Helix piercings?

I am planning on getting a Helix piercing tomorrow and I was just wondering what kind of earrings I should buy for it.

captive bead ring or horseshoe ring.
they will be easy to clean around and give room for swelling.

    Some people use studs, others use rings. If you’re getting it done at Claire’s (terrible piercing job, I swear. I got mine done 5 months ago and it still hurts then I got one with a needle 16 days ago and it doesn’t hurt ONE BIT.) then get one of the gold ones. Condoms and earrings are things you should NEVER cheap out on. Don’t use cheap Wal-Mart earrings and stuff like that or there will be a huge bump on the back of it. Trust me. I did and I had to put a piercing earring on tit so t he bump went away.

    Use horseshoe :)
    I have mine pierced and use the Morbid Metal brand; they are some of the best earrings.
    Don’t listen to the girl who says to use studs: don’t! They can irritate the piercing; my piercer says that rings are better, and she’s been trained more than mall piercers who use studs and guns.

    well, depends what you are getting it pierced with.
    Guns usually are with studs.
    But i suggest you get it with a needle.
    I got 2cartilages, one was a helix. and both of them have bumps on the back of the ear right now :(
    this is because the gun gives too much pressure.
    The bump will eventually go away though with sea salt soaks, and proper care.

    Just get it with a needle and a hoop.
    It’ll be the safest, and i guarantee that it’ll look awesome :D

    A captive bead ring, or any jewelry with enough room to allow for swelling. A stud is terrible for healing piercings, and do NOT get pierced with a gun.
