How do you twist the balls off body jewelry?

I'm trying to twist the balls off my septum ring and they're stuck.
Is there anything that might help loosen them instead of going to my piercer

Try wearing latex gloves. It sounds weird but the gloves help you get a good grip. I did that in the beginning with my lip piercing.
