How much does it cost to get custom jewelry made?

My fiance has an old gold and diamond ring that belonged to his father who passed away when he was 9. He wants it to be made into another ring for his wedding band. How much does it cost to have custom jewelry made?

Cost can range, but if you have the stone and some gold then you are in good shape. If you want a true custom piece then look for a jeweler that either has a cad/cam for designing jewelery or someone that hand carves waxes.

    Hardly nothing if he already has all the gold he needs.

    I’d say offhand – maybe $200.

    Custom jewelry prices can be anywhere from $50-$50,000. That depends on the materials, the design, and the designer. For a ring, a local jeweler likely wouldn’t charge more than a couple hundred dollars. Call around, get quotes, and request to sample pictures of work they’ve done in the past. Something so sentimental needs to be entrusted to a good jeweler =]

    this place will mount your gem in a setting you pick out, they are super helpful and it wont cost a arm and a leg, there are alot of setting to chose from to have it set into
