is there a way to check the quality of gold jewelry using home liquid like vinegar?

i bought a piece of jewelry i want to find if it is real gold or is it just plated with gold

You need stronger acids to test jewelry. Nitric acid and sulfuric acids are used to tell karat gold jewelry.

    if its real it will be stamped 10k,14k,18k etc. other wise its plated or not even just colored…
