What is up with rappers wearing diamond necklaces with the cross on it?

I'm not religious or anything, but I don't understand why they rap about virtually every sin known to man and then claim to thank god at award shows or how they wear expensive jewelry with the cross on it.

And yes I am very well aware that other entertainers such as porn stars also tend to commit their fair share of sins, but I'm focusing on rappers in particular because they usually tend to claim to love god yet rap about virtually every sin you can think of.

Im not sure but I also hate it when they rap about God in their songs and proceed to add like 20 cuss words.

    I guess just give honor were honor is due… They know who woke them up this morning.. There are a lot of people that believe in God but don't acknowledge him with there lifestyle
